a mini-pelican get-together.....pics
branching off of JP's thread A Shot of the Kids (and recent goings on)
JP, his girl jackie, me, my girl michelle, and roninlb all met up at my parents "retreat" in the allegheny's in upper PA. below are some pics of random things.... leftover from the saturday night....made a great lunch as JP has some excellent culinary skills.....there was a nice large selection of some steak pork and hot sausages. we feasted on this and there was much rejoicing   a group "jackolsenesque" shot.....  ron getting the rabbit ear treatment....  our protectors......maggie the golden retriever....

apache the husky/shepard mix....
 kira isn't much help as she's the instigator and a "puppy"  there was alot of this going on.....  and look closely above rons car.....i swear i see darth vader   jp has more pics...... a good time was had by all, good stories, good people.....thanks guys

PS: I just got off the phone with Ron, who briefed me on this place that you guys were hanging out at this weekend. It sounds like something the missus and I would love to do, too. And, of course, it would be great to see you guys again! So, when's the next time you guys are going to meet there?

 Jackie's honest-to-God attempt at parking the iX:  Note: this is her in an attempt to fix the first debacle -- which she assented to only after EVERYONE (including Michelle) ridiculed her for the first try. Brian and I stalled her while I got the camera ready to document the incident before she destroyed the evidence. Reminded me of this:  And Jackie's quick snap of the 3 Amigos:  It was a great time, and I got up at 7 the next am to drive home for a car show in which the Mini and the 2002 were each their class winners. I'm rethinking the whole car show thing, as it's a long time for a pale, spotted Irish guy to spend in the sun in order to collect more clutter. Can't wait to get back to Bell's camp and do more fish bombing!
