Karl Rove

He was in Omaha today.

anyone here think he will enjoy it in one of this nations fine "federal pound me in the ass prisions" I sure hope he will like it. maybe they will do him a favor and lube it up before hand, or, maybe not.

either way, he is going to jail.

Kyle

for what exactly? And, that's cool that he was in Omaha... was he giving a speech or something? Wish I could have been there, if so.

slakjaw 07-08-2005 09:21 PM

you could live here, you still would not be invited to his speech.

he was on a local radio talk show for about 10 mins it was interesting you can listen to it on www.tombecka.com

lets just say for something that Bush 1 called treason. and if he is guilty I hope he pounded hard with no lube

slakjaw 07-08-2005 09:24 PM

looks like he hasnt updated the site yet

bryanthompson 07-08-2005 09:30 PM

If he broke the law he should be punished, of course. If this is just another kook conspiracy, then i'm just going to roll my eyes and chuckle while I get back to the real world.

From what I have gleaned on the subject, Rove convoluted the path of information in such a way as to make himself held-harmless. I say all this, assuming you are refering to KR's involvement in the V. Plame incident. If you are talking of something else Rove did (or didn't) do, please tell us why you are so hopeful of his indoctrination into the Fraternal Brotherhood of Fudgepackers (Non-Lubricated Chapter).

just another kook conspiracy.

Moneyguy1 07-09-2005 12:26 AM

Let's wait and see before we dismiss. I LIKE a good scandal. But then again, who will report the story now that reporters can spend time behind bars for not even printing a story?

Denial is not just a river in Egypt.

If it's determined that Rove leaked the information during a time of war, he would face execution for treason.

Can you say 'Presidential pardon?" Sure you can.

As posted before, Rove is insulated pretty well. There are several requirements to the death penalty level of treason: the operative has to be 'covert,' the leaker has to know the operative is 'covert,' the leaker has to intend the leak to harm the operative.

Since the law itself came from Bush1, Rove would be intimately familiar with how to avoid breaking it.

I think the most he'll face will be a conviction for lying about the leak. In that unlikely event, he'll surely be pardoned.

lendaddy 07-09-2005 06:27 AM

I have to laugh:)

Anyone want to put a lil wager on the leak? Tech?

bryanthompson 07-09-2005 08:41 AM

Okay, if we're going to play 'who has the nuttier conspiaracy theory,' I'll give it a shot:

Joe wilson, upset that he couldn't fit in with the Bush admin, leaks the name of his wife, who was in no danger and was pretty visable as a CIA agent anyway, in an effort to make the whitehouse look bad. He knew that Rove would be blamed on it, and that the media would go nuts. He'd be able to play the victim role, as we all know democrats are wont to do.

I am amazed how the left and the lefty press gets so much mileage from rumors that they make up. Especially since they are proved to be lies each time.
1. Have they no shame? All one has to be is somewhat conservative and the left will blatantly make up a story to attempt to defame their character...
2. Doesn't this insult their constituents by assuming they are stupid enough to believe all these moronic conspiracy stories? Or do they assume that at liberals are smart enough to realize that the stories are untrue (wink, wink) and the idea is to fool stupid/uninformed moderates/conservatives and the end justifies the means?
3. Why do guys on this BBS spread things which are obviously at best conjecture and at worst, intentional, outright lies? Surely they really don't believe them too?

Oh, right, fint. Did you ever admit your error in swallowing the power industry/government lies in our discussion about the California "Power Crisis?"

Moneyguy1 07-09-2005 09:02 AM

Seems as events in the past, originally dismissed as conspiracy stories really turned out to be true. Hate to bring it up, gents, but anyone remember Watergate (the first that comes to mind..everything since then as been labelled "somethinggate")

"Have they no shame? All one has to do is be somewhat left of Atilla the Hun and the opposition will make every attempt to defame their character"..a little paraphrasing never hurt anyone. Happens here all the time...

I don't think either party has monopoly in this regard so you sound pretty funny saying this.

That's a very good point.

You are still wrong in this regard, but it is hopeless to argue with you on it...so I won't.

...

Watergate was 30 years ago....if it is that rare to get one right, one would be surprised that new ones are manufactured daily by the left...

Moneyguy1 07-09-2005 09:48 AM

Another conspiracy..I tried to post and the post wouldn't take.. Must be fint trying to stop me from expressing my views..

fint...So Watergate was 30 years ago. Iran/Contra was a little more recent. Whitewater is even closer to out timeperiod. THe rumors about the death of one of Clinton's staff is pretty close to current. So, did the "looney left" make up ALL of these? Or did the "radical right" think up a few as well?

THe last REAL conservative (and one of my heroes) was Barry Goldwater who, during Whitewater clearly opposed the effort to protect Nixon. He publicly said that the man had to go. Look it up. Point? Blind loyalty to a party, an individual, or an ideology is illogical to a rational, thinking being. How many people in congress and the executive branch at present do we have who think for themselves? You even think that McCain is flawed because he doesn't swallow the line hook line and sinker. What gives with that? If a Democrat and Republican co-sponsor a bill, you can bet there will be detractors looking under every rock for motive.
