The Habibs Strike Again

What do you Boyz really expect from a bunch of Gas Station Attendents....

Really Boyz the Habibs have lost...the West meaning America just shruged this last attack off...the financial markets dipped for a moment but even rebounded to close up....the greatest weapon they poessed was their ability to destabilze Western Financial Markets...by scaring Americans...Now it's just another blip on the allmighty screen....for Christs sake the news coverage on that missing girl in Aruba was more comprehensive.....

Sure there is going to be a bombing here and there but it has become so pointless....they had their 15 minutes of fame and we are going to say how sorry we are for the victims but in the end we are just going to flip the channel to the NBA playoffs...

Sounds like you should have been on one of those tube trains. Or maybe the bus.

Might alter your perspective.

Hard to tell.

That IS crude, but kind of a funny image, ain't it?

They certainly picked a poor target. A worldwide multiphasic personality test shows the english to be among the most unflappable people on earth. They do not cower and run. If the Al Quaida types are trying to galvanize the US/UK alliance, this is a good start.

Hmmm. And who has the most to gain from such galvanization?

Conspiracy theory? I doubt it.

The London bombings are really a double trajedy. The first being the loss of life and the second being the strengthened enthusiasm for our misguided military adventure in Iraq. Can you imagine what would happen if the London bombings were linked to Iranian nationals?

But it won't be a very thorough galvanization unless they utilize either hot-dip or electrostatic spray plating techniques. The Al Quaida types could also use a lightweight expanding foam material to fill the void spaces which would tend to reduce to onset of rust.

In other news, there was a slide show floating around on the Navy network not too long ago showing pictures from a barracks room in New London, complete with little bottles full of piss. Can anyone explain that? Tabs, why do you do that?

Tabs has an end-around style sort of like Faulkner, but in the conclusion, he is correct.

Bombing after bombing, it has taken less time for the victims and the world at large to pick up again. Yes, 9.11 was the worst, and, in general, we've not fully recovered, but many things are back to normal.

People interviewed in Spain say that it took them about six weeks to get back up to speed.

Now, in Great Britain, London specifically, the majority of citizens were back to normal life the following day.

TV coverage loves to hammer the worst - schedenfraude as they are. Though not exactly "pointless" I would say that terrorist bombings are not as much a never here possibility as they are, simply, a possibility that has been worked into daily life.

So with that, wouldn't it be interesting if Al Qaeda lost their campaign simply because of over-saturation, i.e. too many beheadings, too many bombings - all of which might render the shock value of their actions somewhat lacking in the usual effect.

Someone gave me a '59 vw bus last year; the rockers and a couple outriggers were all but gone, but someone had completely filled them with expanding foam, and then slathered bondo over that. The poor thing wasn't saveable, which was really too bad, as it was a HTF Mango Green/Seagull Grey walk-thru standard.

Thom, that's really dreadful. I'm sorry to hear that. Fortunately you didn't put a lot of money into it, right? It's really sad, imho, how many treasures are lost because of inadequate care. I mean, if someone had put the time into the '59 bus before it had gotten that bad, it would have been salvageable, right?

Ya know what they need? They need to "think hollywood'. . . They need their very own Awards show.

you know; "Catagory for the best supporting vest bomber . .. "
"Catagory for the best supporting liberal American Enabler ...

They could call their trophy (and show) The Enemies Awards.

. . .and the Enemy goes to... Barbra Streisand (applause light -on-)
