Rolling Sculpture Auto show - A2 2005
Friday night was the Rolling Sculpture auto show, held on the streets of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
I'll post more pictures later. First though I'd thought I'd share something cool that happened. The owner of the chocolate shop (Scott), which my car was parked in from of made a "free" chocolate Porsche for me. His own car was parked a few feet from mine a 1981 Trans Am (post thunder chicken). http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1121094197.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1121094382.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1121094462.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1121094521.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1121094578.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1121094712.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1121094762.jpg |

Only two Ferrari's.........my buddy Bruce with his red 1981 GTSi targa being one of them. Lot's of rare cars, did I show the green Ghia yet? |

Interesting to see the Ford Shelby Cobra concept there. That must be a pretty cool looking car in person.

The thing you pick up on is that it's nice at every angle, and it's not as fat/huge as most pictures make it look. Having people all around it gives it scale.
I'd take the Ford GT (GT-40) over it, but it's a close call. Having a convertible/targa in one or the other would be the deciding factor. EDIT: the Lotus 7 / kit car in the very first picture got lots of attention. Claimed 0-60 time of 3.2 seconds - motorcycle engine. |
