The heat has gone to your head, man. Put down the Makers Mark and find a bottle of this stuff.
![]() I think my current favorite chicken is from Lorie Morgan's resturant outside of Nashville. |

thanks! Im enjoying it so far.
kidding about the Makers Mark. Its good stuff. If you really like Bourbon, give the Single Barrel Evan Williams a try. Its won Bourbon of the Year the last three years in a row. No other label has ever won it consecutively. Its priced about the same as a bottle of Maker's Mark also. |

My current favorite for sipping(and mixing) is bush mills single malt, but that's not to say I'd pass up a finger or two of Makers, glennfidich(sp?)

You should be able to find the Evan Williams in a regular liqour store for $25 or less a bottle. Bourbon is harsh by nature, but this stuff is smoother than any blended scotch or sub $40 single malt scotch you can buy. IMO, its better than any Scotch you can buy, period.
Vash, if you like Johnny Walker Black, try a bottle of Dewars or J&B rare. |

Basil Haydens isn't bad either (Bourbon) and Balvenie Doublewood has been a recent find (scotch)

Best Irish I've tasted is Knappogue Castle 1994 Singlemalt ....nice smoooooth taste
I also am fond of Old Weller Antique...7 yr old, 107 proof.... I just marinade the chicken, and stick it on the Beer Can holdr (sans Beer can) and put in my Big Green Egg for about 2 hrs...

The Big Greenie is GREAT for Roasts and Chicken
I've used it for Burgers, Steaks and Fish...but find it is a bit time consuming to light...for those items...a Weber works just as well...for direct high heat items... I find the Greenie to be a GREAT additional BBQ... I alos have a New Braunfels ....Bandera..whcih looks like a filing cabinet with the fire box on the side...thats for ribs and smoking fish etc.... I keep on experimenting with different BBQ's...

My high end Bourbon choice is Bookers (JimBeam) small batch, ave 127 proof, smooth as water. $65 a fifth.
My 'reg' choice is Wild Turkey 101 / Rare bread. Very very good. I prefer my birds on the OUTSIDE of the bottle!!

Bookers is good stuff. $10 for a 2oz lowball (when you can actually find it) is absurd, buts its good bourbon. Rare Bread is good stuff also.
