NHL/NHLPA - About Damn TIME!!!
Maybe they'll actually have a season.
Any bets on how much longer the league is around? http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2106776

GO CAPS!
I wouldn't even try to venture on "how" or "if" or "for how long" they will return to the pre-lockout levels of success. The NHLPA, Bettman and the Owners all deserve to go broke for allowing this to happen. I do feel a bit sorry for the young talent that really got hosed by their owners and union. No, I changed my mind, I don't feel sorry for them either! I feel sorry for myself for years of support in the past (and the future). I guess that is what happens when you play chicken and neither driver flinches.

Who is really going to care. I was fed up watching a bunch of rich guys that get paid more per game than most make in a year. We used to enjoy going but can't morgage the house to go.
Spend more time in the garage the beer is just as good in there.

I am absolutely ecstatic about the upcoming season!!
...Jay Feaster and the rest of the bolts seem excited as well, if today's (7/13) press conference was any indication. LET'S GO LIGHTNING!!! |

Screw them. They turned their backs on everyone.
I don't feel bad for the young talent. They are comming back this year and will make enough to feed their families for four years. The people you ought to feel bad for are all the ones who had jobs working for the teams or the arena. They got nothing out of it. Some of them aren't comming back a year later with a salary big enough to make up for a missed year. I guess I'll have to be happy catching hockey once every four years in the Olympics. It is practicly the only time those guys seem to give 100% in January anyway. Note: I love hockey and realize that it would be near impossible for those guys to give 100% every game of the year. Too many meaningless games. Also don't call during the playoffs I;ll probably be ummmm camping |

If I wasn't cursed to be a Pens fan I'd be a bit more excited. Alas, little to cheer for..............

It's gonna be interesting to see whos in the worst shape physicallywhen they're back on the ice.
What's the Rangers gonna do though, they wont be able to buy themselves a team anymore. Not like it ever helped.

I unfortunately will watch as many games as I can.
I would love to say I will boycott hockey. It shocked me how mad I was at the whole mess. But, I was born watching and playing the game. I still skate and play when I can. I would be lying to myself if I said I was thru with this nonsense. Damn, I can't help myself but I just love the game. So count on one grade A sucker sitting either in a rink, sports bar or in front of my TV with a beer, looking forward to the openning face off of 2005
