Getting Hitched need Officiant and Music

Getting Married in three months and everything is planned and squared away except the ceremony music (have a DJ for the reception) and Officiant to perform the ceremony. Anyone here have any suggestions or contacts here in the So Cal area? We are having a non denominational ceremony and are looking for a non denominational Officiant.

We also need ceremony music, not sure what we want a solo guitarist or possibly a trio? Are there any musicians out there?

I do a pretty good accapella version of Debbie Boone's "You Light Up My Life" AND I can sing "We've Only Just Begun" while playing the spoons:D

I can burp all of "Unchained Melody" (the Al Hibbler version) after drinking a 2-liter of Coke.

In California any person can perform a wedding ceremony. There is some form the person, and the prospective bride and groom, have to fill out. I don't recall the details.

I learned this two years ago, when I had the pleasure of officiating at the wedding of two close friends.

So if you have a close mutual friend, who has some minimal gift for oratory, he or she could do the wedding.

Have a buddy get ordained online and do the ceremony.

I can play the Top Gun anthem on guitar. I'll do it for free if you pay for my plane ticket :)

What Thom said.

My younger brother just got married a couple of weeks ago and he asked my older brother to do the ceremony and me to be the best man. Worked out well; my older brother got his license on line and did a great job, and the wedding had a great, casual feel to it. As the best man, all I had to do was give a short speech (I hate public speaking  ) which I pulled off fabulously after a couple of PBR's. ;)

Good Luck and congrats!
Jim
