It's a yard when the kids/dog are playing on it and a lawn when I mow it.

eeek, I'm not a piercing guy... she's gross.

Front lawn, back yard, which needs to be fenced in so I can get a dog.

Nice set of hooks; you can hang her from the garage ceiling when not in use.

Bryan,

Get an English Mastiff. You won't need to fence cause the dog will stay wherever you are.

They don't wander like other breeds. At least mine never did/do.

If you are inside they'll go out to do their business and come right back in. They like to keeep their master within eyesight. If you get up and go into another room where they can't see you they will get up and move to a spot where they can see you.

http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/mastiff.htm

Don't let the size scare you, they eat about the same as a Lab.

NO ONE will f' with your house or stuff with one of these around.

They are really sweet animals. My 20lb. Mini Schnauzer had 10x's the attitude than my 200 lb. Mastiff.

My yard isn't as well decorated as Ron's. 1/3 acre of lawn alone...seems like I'm always hanging on to the handle of a lawnmower, a chain saw, a rake, a shovel, pruning shears, leaf blower or vac, etc. I get a hoot out of the guys who love to list their car fleet...if I tried that with yard/garden equipment, each post would be quite long.

Not that I like them that way, but the metal pieces DO come out Bryan. I would be happy to help that young lady get the sand out of everywhere its gone while sitting there...

JoeA

PS I have rocks and cactus and a small patch of grass.

thanks guys for for figuring the grass is greener on the other side. The grass does lend a picturesqe setting.
btw.. some LB history.

Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Heaven, God was missing for six days (Of course, we know God is never missing, but this is a story)..
Eventually, Michael, the Archangel, found him resting on the seventh day. He inquires of God, "Where have you been?"

God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed downward through the clouds. "Look, Michael, look what I've made." Archangel Michael looked puzzled and said, "What is it?"

"It's a planet," replied God, "and I've put life on it. I'm going to call it Earth and it's going to be a great place of balance. "Balance?" inquired Michael, still confused.

God explained, pointing to different parts of the Earth, "For example, Europe will be a place of great opportunity and wealth, while Africa is going to be poor. The Middle East over there will be a hot spot," God continued, pointing to different countries. "This one will be extremely hot and while this one will be very cold and covered with ice."

The Archangel, impressed by God's work, then pointed to a small land mass with an ocean as its border and said, "What's that?"

"Ah," said God, "that's Long Beach NY, the most glorious place on Earth. There are beautiful beaches, parks, politics, beautiful women, handsome men and oh, what a climate! The people from Long Beach are going to be modest, intelligent, and humorous, and they are going to be found traveling the world. They will be extremely sociable, hardworking, and high achieving people, and they will be known throughout the world as diplomats and carriers of peace."

Michael gasped in wonder and admiration, but then exclaimed, "What about balance, God? You said there would be balance! Everyone and everything seems so totally perfect in this place you call Long Beach NY!"

God replied wisely, "Wait till I send girls looking for a weekend stay with parties!"
