Russian spammer murdered in apartment

A few threads back, I suggested that spammers be drawn and quartered. Russians, it appears, are more literal with their threats, and they beat a spammer to death.

Vardan Kushnir, notorious for sending spam to each and every citizen of Russia who appeared to have an e-mail, was found dead in his Moscow apartment on Sunday, Interfax reported Monday. He died after suffering repeated blows to the head.

edit: removed "I am a huge f'ing hypocrit." from first line. Started going with one direction in this post, decided against it, left that line in accidentally. I'm still a hypocrit, though.

I wonder if the police will bother investigating. I'm getting the mental image of a constable explaining how he died: "We haven't made up our minds whether he hung himself or was shot while trying to escape."

Russian Police Say Robbers Killed Spammer Kushnir

The murder of Russia’s biggest spammer Vardan Kushnir was not connected with his Internet activity, but with a straightforward robbery, Moscow investigators reported.

At the scene, investigators discovered soporific, a sleep inducer, in a glass and a woman’s dressing gown and blouse. Apparently, the spammer had met three girls in a club called the Hungry Duck, and invited them to his apartment. The girls then poured soporific into his wine, but it is suppected that the dose was insufficient, and that Kushnir woke up when the girls’ accomplices arrived to rob his house. During the ensuing scuffle, he was killed. The robbers took his credit cards, laptop, digital video camera, gold and money. On Monday, police detained one of the suspected girls.

Never trust a Russian chick - and certainly not three of them.

Ok, so the lesson learned is that if three hot Russian girls that I just met at the bar want to come over and get drunk with me, it really is too good to be true.

(sigh) Too bad, it looked at first like he got killed for his crimes against humanity. Random murder just lacks the vindicating feel.
