Should we have a political only forum?

Just wondering... Anyone think it'd be a good idea to have a separate "political" (to include religious, hate bush, hate dems, societal issues, hate SUV, hate the environment, etc.) forum, and leave OT for everything else?

Has this been brought up before?

Since everything turns into a Bush bash anyway, it probably wouldn't do any good. It would work, but we all know liberals can't control themselves.

Can't control themselves?

Who was the first responder?

Why can't you make a neo-con angry? They have no empathy.

Why would that make a liberal angry? I'm a liberal and it doesn't make me angry.

I don't see how hating SUVs is a political issue. Hate the environment?

If there was a "politics only" forum I would probably stay out because, bottom line, I really don't know much about politics (and you are welcome to use this statement against me in any future political thread). :>)

Not purely a political issue. Though the foreign oil dependency argument is used frequently - which is a political issue. As well as the impact on the environment - another political issue. Regardless, it is definitely a societal issue.

I couldn't think of the antithesis to hating the SUV. It was meant tongue-in-cheek... Though I see how I could be the only one to "get" it.

Maybe "political" isn't the correct describer for what I mean. Just still not sure what to call it.

If you spent your time on the politics board, you would miss the "Who shaves their balls?" thread. That would be a pity.

We do have a "political only" forum, it's called "Pelican Parts Off-Topic." I don't know about those pesky "Should I get circumcised" threads, though.

Sounds good, and while your at it how about a "Look at my Kid thread", and a "Spider" thread, a "Cool Chick Fan Club" thread.
