I personally dislike using IM or text messaging for that matter...Although for working around the newsroom, I think that "top lining" someone works really well (It's not as intrusive as IM).

I think IM'ing is fun since it is instant, but I'm having a real problem with mine. For some reason, once I log on and start chatting for about 5 minutes, a box pops up and says I've been disconnected. WTF? I have Linksys Wireless Modem for my internet. Has anyone had similair trouble?

And it will use continuous sampling, rather than discreet sampling...

The nice thing about typing it out is that the dta is right there, you don't have to rely on memory.

E-mail I like because I can track progress, and check off things if you will.
