Upgrading cdrw to dvd+rw -- Dual G4

Well... I never thought this would happen. It took longer to burn an ISO of Fedora core 3 than it took to download it. Flipping amazing...

Anyone upgraded the cd/dvd+rw on a dual g4 machine? I should probably just call Apple and order a new one, but is there a chance that the drives are available through some other source?

Yes, I can probably find the receipt here somewhere. I got a great price on a warrantied SuperDrive from an online retailer.

(what are you doing using a liberal computer?)

Should use standard IDE drives... at least my old iMac-dvd does, and the single cpu g4's here at work. Of course, you won't get the Apple styling, etc. but they work fine.
