What's the Number?

The new 911 has the project number 997. The new Boxster is 987. The Cayenne is 955.

What is the project number for the Carrera GT? Will the new Cayman also be 987? What about the Panamera?

That is really strange. I just heard the song on my Sirius while I was looking at this thread.

Anyway, they're running out of numbers. Before long, we'll have project no 999.99.

Three shall be the number and the number of the counting shall be three. Neither shall thou count to two, excepting that thou thence proceed to three. Five is right out!.....

2 + 2 = 5. Oh wait, that rule only applied back in 1984.

I am not sure how accurate this is but its very possible that the Porsche 980 was the project number for the CGT.

Of course, some changes between this and the actually CGT have occured. This I believe was the prototype.
