Need help - 911's in Motorsport.

One of my workmates is pretty anti-911. He sent me the below listed e-mail today and I need replies etc.

"Paint it up however you like, it's still a VW Beetle in drag. Have they ever won anything of importance and please don't give me any 5hit about "how they use to rally them" etc. They use to rally Hillman Hunters and they were crap also. In-fact Porsche had to start it's own race series in-order to win anything as the only car that was going to beat you was another 911!!!."

Basically I'm looking for a website or infomation where 911's have wiped the floor despite being up against far more expensive teams/cars.
