Okay, I've been trying to keep quiet and wait for someone else to post something about this...but nobody has so here goes...

I just got my first copy of MAKE magazine. And this freaking thing ROCKS my sorry world. It is a thick and dense (i.e. very few ads) mag packed with DIY projects ranging from the practical ("Making Biodiesel In Your Kitchen", "Running Linux On Your Ipod", "Install A Mac Mini In Your VW", etc) to the utterly insane ("Convert An Old VCR To A Programmable Cat Feeder", "Build A Stun Gun Triggered Potato Cannon", "Mold and Cast 45 rpm Records", etc).

I am hooked. And the MAKE website at http://www.makezine.com includes a blog section where even more cool and bizarre "hacks" are documented by readers.

Anyway, this BBS is pretty much their target audience. So I had to share.
