Anyone use a resume service to complete resume?

I have had it with my boss, and a transfer isn't in the cards for several months, so I want to see what is out in the market.

Most of the people I know who have changed jobs recently have had their resumes "tweaked" by headhunters or contracting firms. Seems there are new formats, etc... that the hiring companies like to see.

Last time i used one was as a pimply faced undergrad. Now as a pimply faced professional, i just copy formats that i like :)

Writing a resume is something that you should do yourself, it is a good exercise to reflect on your career and your goals. But have at least 3 peopel critique and edit the darn thing.

Plenty of good books on the subject - most can be found at the public library. The trick is to get you hands on a few from people who you know who have great jobs. See what theirs looks like. I would send you a copy of mine but I have been with my current job for over 6 yrs and (stupidly) have not warmed up a new one.
