Conservative desperation

Have you noticed the uptick in the number of posts attacking the 'liberal media' on Iraq? As if somehow the American people are going to believe that everything is progressing well in Iraq, and the chaos is a fabrication of the 'liberal media'.

Pathetic.....and desperate.

Rather than standing and taking responsibility for the national disaster they have created, Republicans are hot and heavy in the blame business.

Give it up flintstone. No one is buying the junk your selling. Checked Bushs poll numbers on Iraq this week? Oh wait, let me guess....his poll numbers are some fiction created by the hippies at the NY Times...

techweenie 08-10-2005 07:47 PM

Oh, let fint have his fun violating copyrights. It appears he doesn't even read the stuff he pastes.

FrayAdjacent911 08-10-2005 07:48 PM

Well man, why is it then we hear about how many American soldiers have been killed in Iraq....

... but not much about how many schools they've repaired? Sure, I've seen a positive story once in a while... but I see stories about how people are killed over there almost every day.

You keep saying 'people are dying over there! People are dying over there' and nothing else, and pretty soon, the only thing people think about 'over there' is that 'people are dying'.

It's not a lie, and it's not dishonest, but it's not THOROUGH coverage.

fintstone 08-10-2005 08:00 PM

Good thing this administration doesn't use the polls to make decisions like the last one.
Give it up guys....you are clearly the desperate one when your posts are mostly personal attacks. This one is one of the all time losers....but not surprising considering the sources of the posts.

HardDrive 08-10-2005 08:20 PM

Not really a personal attack flintstone. You are one of the most outspoken conservatives on the board, and you post a new article attacking the left nearly everyday.

I singled you out because you appear to be the leading conservative voice.

FrayAdjacent911, I think you are probably right. There is no question that soliders are pouring their hearts out everyday in Iraq, and they are not getting credit for it. It is true that the media does not focus on much of the positive information. But that does not mean that things are going well overall.....

fintstone 08-10-2005 08:40 PM

When every liberal post on a thread addresses me by name....although I have not yet posted there.....a reasonable person would call it just that. Note how I do not ever start a thread with a post about you....

bryanthompson 08-10-2005 08:52 PM

yes, we all follow fintstone. JP was our fearless leader, however, he seems to be vacationing still. Maybe we could get Stromsberg back.

HardDrive 08-10-2005 10:09 PM

I don't think we liberals have a leader.

As soon as we tryed an nominate someone, we had the ACLU, NAACP, PETA and the Sierra Club breathing down out necks that we had not nominated a black jewish vegitarian woman who loves spotted owls.

starlifter1 08-10-2005 10:18 PM

Is that why Dean was picked? I didn't know Dean liked spotted owls.

bryanthompson 08-10-2005 10:55 PM

libs lack a leader, direction, and a message. Dean said so himself.

speeder 08-10-2005 11:07 PM

I'm a vagitarian.

*********. I nearly spit my breakfast out on my keyboard on that one.

lendaddy 08-11-2005 06:11 AM

If nominated I will not run...if elected I will not serve.

So that article that I read on CNN a while back about Iraqi kids returning to a school that US Army engineers repaired...

... was pure bull$hit, huh?

yellowline 08-11-2005 07:59 AM

Shall we take a quick look at the OT main page? I apologize, I'm not smart enough to take a snapshot of the front page on my new Apple. Anyways, let's see, we have:

"Conservative desperation"...designed to bait conservatives
"Osama bin Forgotten"...anti-conservative
"Lots of new yachts to be named after George"...again, critical of the energy bill.
Followed by some non-political OT, then...
"Limbaugh is an a$$"...see above

Let's see...against that, bryanthompson has an article entitled "real reporting."

The conservatives sure dominate this place, all right. Is it me, or is it the smell of paranoia wafting in this thread?

gaijindabe 08-11-2005 08:02 AM

The uptick is there as everyone realizes this is the strategy of the holdouts and wackos in Iraq.

Most American's know very little about the Middle East and care even less. Our enemies know everything about us. From Vietnam, through Beruit and Somolia..

Superman 08-11-2005 11:23 AM

Getting back to the thread topic, yes. Everything has been done to deflect attention from what's really happening in Iraq. Blame media. "Mission Accomplished." ""terrorists are breathing their last gasp."

It's getting worse, gentlemen. Not better. And anybody with a brain (that would of course exclude Dubya) knew this would happen. But hey, wartime administrations have more power than peacetime ones. And that's what this is all about.

And Fint, don't pretend to be confused about why you are considered the caricature of the blind neocon-follower. If you don't understand this, then we have overestimated your intelligence.
