My new baby

No law against owning a Porsche and an American Classic.

Ladies and gentlemen, you are viewing a 1973 Camaro RS/Z28 numbers matching vehicle. She has a SBC 350, a TH 400, and a smog pump and injectors that are sure to rob at least 15 horsepower. The paint is brand new two part (that needs color sanding), and the wheels, carpets, dash, headliner, seats, steering wheel, and dash are all brand new OEM stuff. She even has OEM stainless exhaust and the original am/fm radio. Woooohoooooo!

I'm like the guy on TV - - - I'm in debt up to my eyeballs!

Nice ride Westy! I went to the drag racesa couple weeks back with my dad, and that made me miss doing smokey burnouts in my old Dodge. I sure wouldn't mind having an old Camaro or Trans-Am.

I had a '71 with a 350 2-barrel and 4-spd stick. Never gave me any grief at all; one of the best cars I ever had. Congrats on picking up that beauty!

Congratulations on your new purchase, Westy. She's a beauty. I've always loved the perfect proportions of that body style.

Chevy eventually admitted that this was a design closely related to their study of the Ferrari. I don't see it, and probably never will, but that's what they said

Nice car Bob. Did it cost more than your targa? I've never ridden in a '70s Camaro. Are they known for fast straights and curves? Is the ride tight?

Chris you are very simply put, A DORK.

Yes it cost more than the Targa, straights are nice up to about 100 or 105, after that it gets washy. The ride is tighter than a Cadillac, but you can't compare it to a P-car. I'll eventually put on a larger sway bar and maybe some high-end oil shocks. This is my cruiser, and I might enter a couple of shows next year after I retire.

thats must have cost a king's ransom. my folks had a 69 z28 when i was a kid, my mom's daily driver. my pops cried watching barrett jackson this past year see what the american muscle iron was going for.

very sweet ride. that car will help in picking up on some "big hair" girls.

While I was driving the family 67 RS 327 one night in 68, a new Z28 came up at 65 and peeled away. Man what a car.
What is SBC? What HP do you have?

It's a beauty. Have fun, and drive safely.

Thanx guys. Don't know the HP yet. I know it's got a stage one cam (1 step up). I'll be changing out a few things over the years. First will be HEI or laser 'cause I ain't setting points ever again, and of course the Rochester carb is coming off, but I won't go inside the motor for a few years. Once I go into a motor I go crazy, and crazy = $$$

Thanks Chris, I just spit Coke all over my keyboard. Man, that is funny!

nice car BTW. Obviously keeping it stock maintains value, but I think you can put a trick aftermarket suspenion/Baer brakes on that thing to really make it hustle.

Tuff call. I never really liked them, but the top is in the trim tag, so if I want to have it original, well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
