If U Luv Fords

Ouch this is a nice car (disclaimer...if everything is as the seller says it is). If I didn't have my Mach1 428 this is something I would be looking at....the ultimate highway http://cgi.compuserve.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4569998336&sspagename= ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1cruiser....

I like it and Im not a Ford guy. I love black cars too so with the big block and 4 speed that car is something else. That must be a pretty rare car.

How much do think it will sell for tabs?

I think 12K is about right....whether it gets there or not?????

It really seems orginal.....he didn't say how many mile on the OD..

That is something I really distrust on these Boards...all these guys claiming to have low mile 911's...unless they have service records from day one....how do they really know how many times the OD has rolled over...the cars are over 30 years old right now...and your gona tell me that it was driven less than 3000 miles a year...Ha...fantasy island.....and that old codger PWD takes the cake.....

kycarguy 935 08-20-2005 10:09 AM

Seems like alot of car for that kind of money.

With the low mileage I think some people put the car in the garage or barn for whatever reason and it sits for years.

Yeah, I love Fords. That's a nice car, I was a car-obsessed kid in the '60s, my parents bought nothing but Fords in those days. I remember wondering what a "liter" was the first time I saw one of those. (They weren't teaching the metric system in those days). ;)

This is the one that really caught my eye this week in the Ford aisle of the ebay supermarket, take a good hard look at the pictures:

I like the old early 60's Birds..but I don't fit.....I saw a real nice 59 that was for sale in town, but did even ask the price as I knew it wouldn't woprk out for me...

Anyway I was checking out the Ebay Feedback on the Seller of the Galaxie...looks to be a pretty straight up guy...buys and sells alot of muscle cars...and parts with an emphasis on Mopar...

The sellers reserve was 12K and final price was 13.1K

Not bad for an idiots appraisal of value....if I must say so myself....(as I pat myself on the back)

How many miles has your S been driven in the last few years?

tabs 08-27-2005 09:22 PM

Hey Drago.....PUSHED is a more operative term......than driven...

Being a Ford guy, I say its not that bad of a deal. My father in law had a 63.5 Galaxie, 2-door with the solid lifter 427 and a 4-speed. He sold it to a guy whol pulled the motor for a race car. I have seen them go for almost $60K...if only he woudl haver kept it....

I got the motor for that car..a Solid Lifter 427 Center Oiler with Medium Riser Dual Carb Manifold....Standard Bore...that motor hasn't been in a car for at least 20 years...

911boost 08-30-2005 09:13 PM

tabs 08-30-2005 10:55 PM
