Anything wrong with Dell laser printers?

I keep seeing the Dell/HP color laser printers for 4-5 hundred bucks. Cheap yes...good deal? You tell me. I haven't had a color printer at work since my old Techtronics ttok a dump and I'm NOT dropping that kind of coin again.

Don't think they are HP inside... at least, the one we have isn't. Its a lexmark. Go for a "real" HP.

The Dell are made by Lexmark? You're saying the HP ones are pretty good?

We use HP laser printers through out campus from smaller 1000 series desktop printers through 8000 series units that crank out page after page of student print outs 18 hours a day almost non stop. I really like HP printers and they've been very good to us(the university) overall.

Len,

Before you buy anything, head over to fatwallet.com and search the forums for deals. We recently got a Dell Color laser for about $350 with shipping. Dell often has 25%+ coupons. I haven't looked for HP coupons, but you might get lucky with them too.

Yep, our printers are actually rebadged Lexmark units. Not bad units. I used to fix printers years ago. Lexmarks were good, but I dreaded working on them... they can be a PITA to service!
