The most brash sign theft I know if was when a couple buddies of mine stole a "Sobriety Checkpoint" sign while waiting in line at said checkpoint. It hangs proudly in their shop, although not on a wall facing the street.

i work for the state, so i can get what i want. well the eerrrr....defects.
that one above, i would knock over with the rental car, to take apart in the luxury of my hotel.
