Gulf Coast Woes, how sad-MANY RESOURCES (Cash) NEEDED

With the ramifications of the situation there getting worse, at least the water level with the lake seems to be equalizing, and the fact that a fair portion of the people stranded don't have much to fall back on, I felt compelled to place a nice donation with the Red Cross this morning.

For us un-affected by this catastrophe, and unable to be on-site working, I'd like to think some good will come of such cash coming in, getting supplies and staples to the area and distributed. Then the real work begins. I think this country stepped up for the Tsunami victims, as did many others. We'll need similar effort on our own soil now, and I'm not sure how many other countries will help the US in time of need.
