I don't understand something about the Convention Center situation. It is only about 10-15 blocks from the Superdome. Why aren't the Convention Center people going to the Superdome to get on the buses? I understand they don't have much information about what is going on, but I'm sure they know there are buses taking people out of the city and that they're leaving from the Superdome.

Or, since the entire world knows there are 20K people at the Convention Center, why isn't there one single person of authority there giving them information. With no radios, phones, etc., how else will any of them find out what's up?

I watched reporters go all over NO today, talking with people who had no food/water/sanitation but where are FEMA, police, NG, etc?

yep, i've been following that blog for a couple days. the guy is a meathead... but looks to be getting his job done.

don't worry folks... just heard it from the pres... "millions of tons of food" on the way. :confused:

OK, if FEMA was caught with their pants down, that's fine. However, they should have the wherewithal to get the National Guard down to maintain the peace. What NO really needs is a Communist militia from the former USSR or Cuba! If anyone can execute martial law, the Communists can. :)
