Digital Phone reliability
 

I got this flyer from Time Warner today... 'unlimited local and long distance calling' with their digital phone service for $39.95. I have a cell phone (alltel) and pay nearly double that now.

Anyone use this digital phone stuff? How reliable is it? Is its connection independant from the cablemodem and digital tv?

I've got phone, broadband, and some cable channels form my provider, (charter). Had it about two years. Seems independant in that I can lose broadband and cable, but have never lost phone. They also put a small ups in the basement.
