I had heard about it, but WOW what an idiot! The sad part is that he's that stupid and his fans may be even worse. Wow....

skipdup 09-06-2005 11:03 AM

I can't believe he said "they're sending them down to shoot us".

He takes the side of the rapers, marauders and killers??? Those were the people that needed shot, and he's against that and says it based on race?

legion 09-06-2005 11:22 AM

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't NO 60%+ black?

That makes it statistically most likely that refugees and looters alike are going to be black.

The problem with NO was that it filled with water like a bath tub--making every conventional method of post-storm cleanup impossible and creating a situation where people were trapped. It's much easier to deliver goods by semi and rail. Much slower by boat and helicopter. Searching for people is also easier when you can walk...as is maintaining law and order.

Was that Mike Myers standing next to him? I loved the 'WTF' look he shot the black dude (who ever that is) when he said that "George Bush hates black people".

You guys are just hearing about this now??

Welcome to last week. ;)

That's what happens when people go "off the page", in stage parlance. :D

These are Kayne's people: LOL

Suge Knight Out of Hospital After Shooting

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - Marion "Suge" Knight, who was shot once in the leg at an MTV awards pre-party last month, has been released from the hospital.

Knight, 40, was released late last week, officials at Mt. Sinai Medical Center said Tuesday. They refused to release any other information, citing patient privacy regulations. Knight's lawyer in Los Angeles didn't immediately return a phone call seeking comment.

Knight, founder of Death Row Records, was shot during a party hosted by Kanye West in the VIP room at the Shore Club prior to the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 28.

Miami Beach police have made no arrests in Knight's shooting and have complained about lack of cooperation from witnesses. Knight underwent surgery to remove the bullet from his leg and repair a fractured bone.

If he's going to state his opinion, please make that opinion cohesive. I barely understood what he was saying. As is, WTF with the accusation? How does that help? Yes, Bush may have little regard for the poor, but Kanye West was far out of bounds. So what's Condoleeza Rice? Somoan?

Anyway, the other person responsible is the controller in the booth who could have knocked the rapper off the air. Problem was, the controller was listening only for profanity and not substance - and to top that, must not have read the script given to the rapper ahead of time; if so, he would have known the rapper was going off script and could have flipped the switch.

Mike Meyers was priceless. Talk about cool under pressure. His face didn't twitch.

On an unrelated note, I don't get Snoop Dog and the Iaacoca commercial. Can someone please translate Dog's language?

I'd love to see that in a written transcript.

Wow.

Reminds of "Boo Got Shot"

Anyone care to comment on Celine Dion's words of late? (Yes, it's yesterday's news - this happened this past weekend)

While her donation of 1 million dollars is great, her opinions are questionable, IMHO.

Two quotes from her statement:
Quote:

"I know there's reasons for it. I'm sorry to say I'm being rude, but I don't want to hear those reasons," she said of the delayed relief effort that has prompted virulent criticism of the US government.
Gee, that's nice - criticize the slow response and then state you don't care to know the reason behind why the response is so slow. Wow - isn't that what they call ignorance?

But here's the kicker:
Quote:

Ms. Dion on Larry King Live
"You know, some people are stealing and they're making a big deal out of it," Dion said on CNN's "Larry King Live," as she said she'd donate $1 million toward relief.

"Oh, they're stealing 20 pair of jeans or they're stealing television sets. Who cares? They're not going to go too far with it. Maybe those people are so poor, some of the people who do that they're so poor they've never touched anything in their lives. Let them touch those things for once."

Ok - how about the people who own those stores who make a living selling those items? That was how they earned a living. When NO gets back in order, THEY are going to care.
And I don't think the poor folks really appreciate Ms. Dion's demeaning comments either.

If stealing and looting are of no concern, perhaps we should all visit Ms. Dion's home and do some pillaging ourselves...

Apparently this Kanya West is opening the NFL seaon with the Bones? WTF????

What?? Does she think they run around naked? Aww let the poor unwashed masses touch a pair of jeans. What an utter moron.

chapstic2001 09-07-2005 06:10 AM

Just to pour fuel on the fire, is Celine Dion even an American citizen?

Pardon my unhipness, but who are The Bones? Not "The Stones," by chance?

Dion is Canadian. Thing is, I can see her point, but also see Z-man's point. It's all a matter of whether New Orleans ever gets rebuilt.

For one, it looks like the Superdome will be torn down.

We should use something other than the Pcars, so we can take more! Another shining example of "open mouth, insert foot".

You know, I take that back, she's just got that guilt about how much she owns, and thinks everyone else should feel the same way.

Anyone pick up the new Kanye CD?
