OT - sweet XJS available
A friend of mine is a sales manager at a Jaguar dealership, and he sent me this e-mail. I don't need this, but it sure looks like a nice buy in case anyone's interested (Roger- if you need to move this thread, I understand)...
"Steve, Hope you're doing good. I have a 80 year old man that has a MINT COND 92 XJS COUPE that he has to sell because his wife can't drive anymore and she can't get into the car. Talked to Phil, 80K miles, no bodywork, serviced at an independent Jaguar shop in Santa Cruz that Phil recommends, owner there said everything's been done and it's the nicest one you'll see.

I love those. having said that, anyone considering anything with a jag V-12 in it better be either a darn good jaguar tech, have money for a darn good jaguar tech, or know how to swap out the engine and powertrain for a 350 chebby/700R4. (there are kits for the swap which tells you how reliable the OEM setup is *grin*)
still, 6K 'merican ain't bad....

v12...ilk...sure looks purdy, need something reliable...got my eye on an '91 LS400 with 150K on it...well maintained...around $4500...

I'd put that $4.5k into a super clean '89 325is which is gobs more fun to drive than a Lexus LS400.
