What I find interesting is how the hard left are always offering burdersome taxation on gasoline, to curtail demand, but the moment their environmental wacko regulations and exploration prohibitions come home to roost, they blame Bush for price gouging...I would love to see a Democrat of note come out and fight for the little guy by suspending taxation on gasoline until prices can be brought down.

Conjecture...

I'm willing to bet that if there was no left opposition to increased drilling, the prices would still be as high as they are now.

Tongue firmly in cheek, I will say that I LOVE high priced gas. Cindy & I took a run over the Cascades & back home yesterday.
$3+ per gallon, plus it being Tuesday, I enjoyed a lightly trafficked run over the same pass that I haven't enjoyed in literally decades. As far as increasing supply, thus lowering prices? Other than taxation, it's supply and demand. Open up the drilling fields, allow more refineries to be built...that would help. Taxation? If your state is owned by liberals, forget it...In Oregon, the state tax exceeds the federal tax by a wide margin.

Opening up drilling only means there'd less likely be a shortage; not that prices would go down.

Gas prices will continue to climb. Oil is a finite resource. The majority of countries that have it are largely unstable and the planet is running out. Conservation doesn't seem to be on North America's radar and the current administrations in the US and Canada don't have the political balls legislate efficiency/alternatives. This is not a Conservative/Liberal issue. Its odd how we are in such denial.

I saw Trump on a talk show saying that he could go over and negotiate a better price on gas because he is not a politician. He said they need to send a team of the best business persons to meet with OPEC. When the host asked him why he doesn't go, he replied that he hasn't been asked.
I say go for it, Don!

All Trump has to do is stick a pipe down his throat...the guy is so full of hot air....

The magic word is CHINA......they are the ones who are driving demand....they are growing exponentily.

And DD more production means lower prices...ther is no global oil conspiracy secreted in the White House Basment....

we're allready paying 6-7$ a gallon as it is now..
and i'm sure that we will see higher prices just like you guys do

we might get a 20% something discount because the euro is stronger than the dollar, but since most of our price is taxes , the effect is minimal...

but , if you guys want to teach us a lesson , sure, go ahead, but be carefull what you ask for ... we're talking 8 bucks a gallon at the least if you want to do that...

What would you guys have said when Bush was first elected, if I had predicted that during his administration, Cheney's old company would be raking in billions of taxpayers' dollars under no-bid contracts, gas prices would be over $3 per gallon and the oil companies would be making more money than any industry in the history of American business enterprize? This is the most effective administration America has ever had. Unless you judge by the impact it has had on the welfare of the ordinary American.

What if we knew what the next half-baked leftie conspiracy was going to be six months in advance?

Oh wait, we do:

1.) Bush hates _____. / Bush caused _____. / Bush lied about _____.
3.) ?????

Last week someone mentioned to me that a very large reserve was discovered in the midwest. Supposedly larger than middle east reserves. Anyone else hear this?

(No, he wasn't selling land, lol)

I heard that also, and searched news archives... found nothing. I believe he said it was the Utah/Idaho area.

Edit: I bet whomever told you was a Hannity listener
