$%^#$^$ IE is drving me nuts
Out of no where, IE starts launching every link as a new window. No service packs, patches, etc....no explanation. Every time you click a link, it launches a new window.
WTF?!?!??!?!?! Anyone seen this before? I dug into the setting but there is no setting that addresses this. EDIT. Now its not doing it?!?!??!!? Can this thread be deleted. For some reason it won't let me delete my own thread. |
HD,
I had the same problem and figured it was the effing Yahoo toolbar that I had installed. Did not matter what I had on the browser it would change itself to frigging yahoo after a while. Deleted that puppy and it worked fine after that. Joe A |
this should fix you right up: http://fedora.redhat.com/
For a more permanent solution: http://www.apple.com/switch/ |
bryan, I clicked on that Apple link. They sell these really expensive Ipod accessories called G5s.
|
btw, I typically use Opera, but I have a tablet PC, and non of the alternative browsers support it well.

as a loyal Apple user, the contract I signed when I bought my computers stated that I must encourage windows users to see the light in such circumstances. Surely you understand :D
How's the handwriting recognition on your tablet? I just bought a wacom graphire3 tablet thingy... Since it's not on-screen tabletish, it's taking some practice... but it's fun. |
Mozilla Firefox!!!

Handwriting recognition is about the same as everyone elses.....stiff. It works well if you learn write you letters a certain way. I don't use it. On the tablets, anytime you need to enter text in a field, a small keyboard pops up that allows you to 'type' with the pen. I find this much faster.
If you have to work with large numbers of .pdf documents, and want to highlight and leave notes for yourself its great. I have 20,000 of documents that I need for teaching, so its a god send for me. But for most other, I am not sure its worth the premium you pay. Mine was $1900, and its only a 1.7. For much less $$$ you can get a damn nice laptop. |
Here's one fix
The apple one will work too, just more expensive. Seriously, you probably have spyware/adware. Use Firefox or Mozilla instead of IE. |
