Looks like I might end up breeding cockatiels...
I was awoken by some very, erm, strange, squawking this morning. My birds have very distinct, and often hilarious, whistles... but this was more like chatter and random shrieking. First, I figured the cat was probably taunting them, so I wondered out there to see what was going on. Basically... early-morning cockatiel freakyness.
Every book I've read said that they will not mate if I don't give them a breeding box... yet... this morning, there they were, getting it on. Not sure what to think. There's decent $$ in cockatiels, but damn it's a lot of work. Plus, the way I get attached to things, I'll probably end up keeping them and I'll end up with fifty cockatiels.

I breed cocktails every night, with much success. Start with one, end up with three or four. Cockatiels, I know nothing about. Good luck Barretta!!!

I had a cockatiel from age 5 to 19. Insane bird. obsessed with women and would masturbate if a girl talked to him long enough. yep, right there on the apple tree branches. he wore the bark off. His name was Grogan, as in steve grogan. my girlfriend calls me the bird whisperer bc every time we are in a place that has cockatiels -be it a pet store or someone's house- I have this bizarre ability to make pals with them instantly. poor grogan molted for about 3 straight years too.
