Anyone buy the new Apple Nano?

I have read that the display screens are cracking on them. I have to wonder if the chassis of the thing had enough stiffness to prevent cracks.

Apple says it's a limited defect on a few systems due to vendor manufactuting issues......although, Apple does seem to be stepping up and replacing units.

Bought one for the wife. Way cool.

Ordered it from the Apple Store on a Friday night on a whim. Paid the extra $11 for expedited shipping. Placed order at 10:15pm, with engraving. Got confirmation at 10:30pm. Got a notice 9:30 Saturday morning that it had shipped from China. Check Fedex Monday night and it's in Alaska. No way it will get here in two days, I'm gonna call and ***** about my $11. 9:30 Tuesday morning it's sitting at the front door.
Awesome and the wife loves it.

I will say it makes me nervous, it is TINY and thin. Told her to go get a case for it ASAP.

The display is incredible, crystal clear and awesome color, simply amazing piece of tech.

A very tiny percentage of screens are cracking. Apple is replacing those units. The cause seems to be a manufacturing problem at the panel maker (Samsung, I think).

There are some complaints about scratching. Apple says the plastic is the same as used on other iPods. I think the issue is that the black nano shows scratches more easily than the white (same as a black car).
