I'm not doubting your connection to Ford nor am I doubting your credibility. I merely pointed out that you made an error in your original off-topic remark. You turned it into a pissing contest.

Maybe I will stick around.

Let's start over. Hi! My name is Barry. I collect all things "Continental". The first tier of my collection is Continental Convertibles. I have a 1956 Continental Mark II convertible and a 1955 Porsche Continental Cabrio. I also have an original 1956 Chris Craft Continental. I desire a S-1 Bentley Continental Convertible. There were only 31 LHD made.

I have a couple of other Lincoln Continentals, too. I have a real nice '77 Town Car with 17,000 miles and a 6-door '68 Lincoln Continental Limousine made from two cars. Cunningham made a Continental in '52. That's the year I was born.

What kind of toys do you like?

You're lying - there are no trees in LV. Use "sagebrush" next time - more believable.

We have much in common. I don't own a gun because I'd hve used it many times. I also collect within the Modernism movement.

My father still lives in Birmingham.

Small world.

Do you know anything about my question?

I'm sorry to say I don't know much more about the leagal ramifications between Ford and Porsche over the use of the name Coninental..

And you can see from when my Dad moved from Detroit that I have very little practical experience about living in Detroit...except for visits to my remaining realitives. and the stories I heard over the years....

Tabs - Porsche also got singed on the 901... which of course everyone knows as the 911. Saw one of the 34 made with 901 badging at Peterson's in LA for the cars and guitars of R&R show.

On the other hand, Porsche is now known for *fiercely* defending its name and likenesses thereof.

Actually, that's famous automotive artist Tom Hale's home/showroom. Those shots were from a Lincoln Club outing to his studio.

The picture below is from the interior of our home shot during the same event.

Norman McLeish large o/c dated 1938. I believe he won a medal with this painting at the AIC in 1938. In 1940 he was the head of the WPA in Chicago.

My $500 Ginny Herzog (the most I could afford).

Hey, every architect has to own one of these, don't they?
