Satellite radio........Which one?
Looking into satellite radio both XM and Sirius seem to be equal. Although XM's hardware seems to be more user friendly and made by one manufacturer where the other's hardware is made by various different companies
Advice please......

I really love Sirius man. I installed in my 911 and the "new" 993 that I just bought came equipped with it and I activated it today. The music channels are fantastic, lots of great talk and sports channels. If you like sports, Sirius is the way to go...also they are more progressive and cutting edge as evident by getting people like Stern etc.
My 911 has a nice Kenwood receiver and the 993 has an even nicer Clarion. I would say the choice of manufacturers is a benefit as you get more choices to the sound and receiver that you prefer. |

Whatever you feel like you will be happier with. Its almost a personal choice.
You can sign up for a free listen for a day or two on each website. Sign up for a free evaluation and decide from that. The gear is ever changing so do not depend on that for a decision. I just bought a cheepo Sirius reciever that will plug into my car of office or I can get a battery pack for it and wear it while riding my bike. I signed up for Sirius to get Howard in January. There are those who love Opey and Anthony and say Howard sucks, good for them, I never heard of Opie until a co worker ranted on about his hatred for Howard and his undying love for Opie. Before that I had no idea who they were. I am shopping for a good Sirius reciver for my 911 right now. I would love to get a Sirius / Cd Player with the ability to plug in my I-pod but it seems we MUST still have FM/AM radio I wish someone would have the guts to delete the AM/FM. I would buy it in a minute.

I listen to Howard on my drive in (about 1 hour) but I'm also into all types of music for the drive home. I'm not sure if Sirius would be the choice soley based on Howard in the AM.
I have heard anthony/opie show and those guys are funny but it's two dollars additional just for them on XM. I'm not into sports at all so that doesn't clinch Sirius for me on that note. Any other differences? By the way I noticed that XM had commercials.................not a lot but one is more than I can stand if I'm paying a fee to listen.

I chose XM. Actually, my son decided, for O&A. Now that I listen, I like them alot more than Stern.
Stats/comparison here: http://www.radiosatellite.org/ O&A no extra charge.
