WDET - NPR Detroit. Some of the finest radio I've ever listened to. Nothing but great progressive and underground jazz with a few good indie rock shows tossed in for kicks. I really miss that station.
Wow, these threads are way more fun now that Mul and Fint and Bryan are all on "ignore". |
Well, I guess that if some Republicans are being accused of misbehavior, or if some people die in Iraq, then the new sources that report this information are left-slanted. If they were more objective, they'd report on Bill Clinton instead of Republicans, and they'd interview White House spokespersons for Iraq information.

PBS is funded 90% by donations. Taxpayer donations.

I always find NPR a welcome respite in the States, if only from the constant "noise" of American media. Just an opinion.
Many of the Commonwealth countries have a national, govt funded broadcaster based on the Brit model of the BBC (with its independant of govt Charter). Certainly Canada and Australia do. Seems to work rather well. I have thought for a long tiime this is sadly missing the US. |
I think you guys (all of you!) should reclaim your youth and turn off the talk radio.

Have you listened that that junk they call music these days? You know, the stuff that normally comes out of the radio?
Better to listen to talk radio than be driven into a vehicularly homocidal rage. |

Oh yeah, I forgot how bad your music radio stations are (really, I have been seriously disappointed when visiting). I have a few pretty good options, including a 100% NZ music station (which is actually pretty good).
However, talk radio would drive me into a vehicularly homocidal rage. Our ones are riddled with ads (including from the hosts) or excrutiatingly boring to someone of my age (30yo). |
