Laguna Seca

I just returned from Laguna Seca, we went up for the day. I sort of feel like it was a rip at $30/person. The Speed challenge touring race was fine, but the IMSA GT3 and the Speed GT races were plagued with crashes and therefore yellow flags for at least 2/3 of the GT race. With only a 50 minute race and all those yellows, there wasn't much racing. The big lead changes both occured upon the restarts from yellow.I realize that the races are sponsered by Speed Vision and need to fit there 50 minute time slot, but this can't be good for repeat buiness from spectators at the track.:( I guess that I'm not alone in these thoughts either:http://bbs.sccaproracing.com/cgi-bin/sccaproracingubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=003888[/URL]

Saturday was the day...You would have had a GREAT time. For those who thought Porsche's new car the RS Spyder might be a ??? car, put your worries to rest. The car Halls A$$. While it might have been set up for this race as an LMP2 car, it had no problems keeping up with and passing the top Audi LMP cars. I think that Porsche might race LMP1 next year if what Audi NA said about retiring their car, per the rule book. The racing on Saturday was very hard, no one gave an inch even in the last 15 minutes.
I think you should go again. I'll post some pics. on a fresh topic in a day or so.
