"Serenity" aka 'firefly'

i saw a commercial earlier today that the movie version of the "firefly" tv show is opening on Friday.

thanks to others here, i learned about the show and probably inhaled the entire first season in 3 nights. (same thing happened w/ BSG ) very entertaining and can't wait to see the full feauture. hopefully it will get more exposure and catch on and the interest will spawn another season(s).

I have seen most of Firefly... I obtained a copy of the whole first season... short lived as it was. I hope the movie does well, then Whedon can tell Fox what they missed out on.

The show started out real slow, got better then vanished.

Nice to see it back on the Sci-Fi channel - want to see the movie too.

I'd heard the first episode Fox aired wasn't the pilot and left many people confused. I've just been watching on SciFi recently but I'm sure I'll hit the movie this weekend.

The best new shows now are on WB and UPN I'm sorry to say. They have a smaller audience so they can afford to be patient with new projects. The bigger networks just cancel a new show after a few weeks and plug in some "reality tv" into its timeslot.

i've only seen the commercial starting yesterday.... i'd think that knowing how they didn't "hook" an audience initially they would try to promote it a little more than just a week... (unless it's a $$ thing)

The series was well written, even if the network wouldn't show it in proper order. Oh, there is one other reason to check it out: Morena Baccarin

My wife and I saw the movie "Serenity" Friday night, large crowd in the theater. Many people sat in their seats to watch the credits roll and talk about the show, perhaps wishing the movie was not over.

Very good movie, enjoyable.

War of the Worlds ..........that was a scary/good movie.

Just saw it this evening. This is what Star Wars 4-6 (or whatever) should have been. Mal even looks like a young Han Solo from some angles. Man, what a good movie.
