4 x 4 truck on Blizzaks?
Thinking of going way over the top this year with the winter setup and opting for crazy traction winter tires on my Tundra. Iv'e never seen anyone do blizzaks or other "ice traction tech" tires on a truck, am I missing something? Offroad tires like "BF Goodrich all terrain" simply don't cut it on ice. Any thoughts? Am I crazy?

My father-in-law puts them on his Silverado every winter... he absolutely loves them.

I run Blizzaks on my 2001 Audi A6 2.7T Quattro. All Wheel Drive is great for forward motion, and even handling, but braking is braking and Blizzaks are unreal. BIG difference!
I also had BFG ATs on my Chev K20 Plowtruck and had them 'siped' for ice. Basically hundreds of little perpendicular cuts with a hot knife. Worked great, but never drove that truck very fast, just a plow truck for the driveway. I'm a big fan of Blizzaks |
