Civil Engineer in ATL needs job, Katrina clean up?.
Got layed off last week. Not unexpected (company was bought out last month). Not in a panic. Please let me know if you have suggestions or leads. I can e-mail my resume' if you would like.
Considering 3-6 month gig on Katrina clean up while my resume' "simmers" on the market here. Let me know if anybody has any connections there. Thanks elomard@bellsouth.net

go to job search and enter where you might want to work and what you want to do if you're interested in Katrina work. there's 4 pages of engineering work. FEMA has a few jobs from $50K to $120K

As I was writing an E-mail to you it hit me that you are not licensed in FLA. This could be an issue as I planned unilizing your license and having you run an engineering division if you are qualified.

so what does a registration in FLA need? i assume there is a test concerning wind loads? we have earthquake stuff.

No the Florida test has a section on Groundwater (I think?) because the water table is so shallow. I would have to sit for part of the exam to get my license transfered to Florida. I really have to stay in the Atlanta area because of the family situation for a few years anyway.
