cantdvr55,
Sorry to hear about your "incident". I live in a small town with a large Hmong population. I regularly hear people make derogatory remarks about them. I have rented to a Hmong family for three years and we just hired a Hmong programmer where I work. The programmer recently invited me to attend the annual Hmong New Year celebration here and I had a wonderful time. I find the majority of the Hmong population here to be honorable and hard working with a strong sense of family. The opportunity to know these people has enriched my life. The point is, knowing these people has only served to highlight the stupidity of their detractors. So...up theirs. Enjoy your life. The guys here making the point that idiots like you came across are already suffering in their own private hell are right. Let'em rot. Dan |

Seriously, while it can be upsetting to be confronted by morons on the road, I've taught myself to just calmly stare back at them no matter what words or gestures the send in my direction. I've learned to take a "scientific" attitude with enraged people, looking at them as the absurd phenomena that they are. Of course, it's easy to maintain my composure, even when some savage creature is making threatening gestures toward me, when I have my Glock in easy reach... |
