LOST commercials
Just me, or have the increased the commercial time this year...
(i.e. decreased showtime). The breaks are different lengths, and I didn't time them, but a couple of them felt like 10 minutes... |

Ive noticed it too and its extremely aggrevating. The storyline is moving so slowwwww. Advertisers milking the ratings. I'd boycott the show but I'm hooked!
Whats your take on how the show will end or explain whats going on?

I've noticed some longer commercial breaks in the middle of shows, but then no commercial break between shows. Probably nobody stuck around for those commercials so advertisers paid less for them. Move all the commercials to the middle of the show, and vary the length of breaks so people can never leave the TV for fear of missing their show. All the more reason to get a Tivo or similar device. The overall length of shows seems to be about 40 minutes per hour still.

the fight girl character is definately mellowing a bit. i bet sawyer bangs her. i think the large tracker dude is gonna die. or maybe the lady's lost hubby. they meet, right when the polar bear pulls him up a coconut tree.
honestly, if the show doesnt throw me an info bone soon, i am gonna bail.

I need to learn Spanish so I don't feel so guilty about watching TeleMundo with the sound off. Always hot babes. I don't get the blondes with black eyebrows...but...always hot babes.

Oh, you mean the commercials they show when you're trying to watch LOST. I thought you meant those cool commercials you don't see anymore, like the ones with Buddy Lee getting sucked into the tornado.

We rarely watch live TV any more. We have a 100 hour DVR on our Dishnetwork box. We keep it mostly full and choose what to watch from the disc so we can skip commercials. Timers automatically record new shows, or we'll cruise and add interesting "one time" shows as they come up.

I follow you on the increase in commercial time. My wife and I started watching at around 8:35 and finished up around 9:15 using a ReplayTV. I guess that means they are pretty close to 1/3 crap, not including thew stall time for the story lines. I use the 30 second skip function to go over commercials and the 7 second replay to backup if I miss the beginning after the commercial break.

2 network shows about to lose this "household" as part of their audience are "lost" and "desperate housewives"...both have turned into daytime soaps.
