Mine has a 3" diameter! Custom fabrication coming up I suppose.

What I found softened the sound and made mine less offensive (to my ear as well) was running on Shell V-power fuel (high octane). It might be worth trying.

If you want, you can bring it over and I'll take a listen to it, since I didn't get to hear your car at idle. I didn't realize you're so close to me. I'm on 143rd and Greenwood, north Seattle. SmileWavy

Intruments builders literally tune instrument resonance by removing wood in various places....bracing, top or back wood, etc. I'm positive this could be applied to an exhaust system. It could be as simple as increasing the size of your pipes, changing a bend, or adding a brace to a pipe somewhere.

I like Sup's idea. Single-in/dual-out Dansk w/ a test pipe. I'll bring the beer.

Here are the pics of the drag pipe baffles. Doesn't look like it would work for you, Milu. The outlets need to be straight. Anyway, all I do is slide them in and put one sheet metal screw in from the bottom to keep them from popping out. I just grab one of the inner triangle shaped flanges with a pair of needle nose to pull them out.

Intiguing thoughts on "tuning" the resonance out of my exhaust system, Wolfe. I would be interested to explore that. Right now, I'm already tearing it down to finish the paint before it gets too cold. When I'm done with that I'll let you know so you can take another look at that.

If or when the exhaust comes out of the car, I'd like to take a look at it.
