happy fat?
 

five years ago i met a hot chinese girl that worked with a friend in an ad firm. kind of the club girl type that wore trendy flirtatious clothing. when i met her, i was floored. hot body, attitude, the entire package. very nice too. well, i was about to humiliate myself and ask her out, but my friend saved my arse by telling me she just got engaged. well fast forward to present. i saw her a week ago, and didnt even effen reconize her. she must have put on 40 lbs! the hot body is GONE! i hid my suprise, hugged her, and asked how her marriage is going. she said, no kids yet, but she is happy. she said, "look at me, i got all this HAPPY FAT!"

WTF? do women just get their man, and let go? DAMN.

So you just now learned this? (*sigh*)

From my own unscientific study it appears that married men tend to "bulk up" post marriage more often then the women. As a society we are more tolerant of men carrying an extra few then women.

My wife and I work hard to stay in good shape for each other, yup it sounds really cheesy.

I noticed the same thing Vash although from a different prespective. I noticed every time a plump chick gets divorced they loose all their weight and look good. 2 on my block did just this. One I did not recognize in the store about 3 months after the divorce, she must have lost 40-50 lbs and looked great. I just saw her again about 2 weeks ago, now 2 years post divorce and still dating from what I gather, now she is augmented too.

I see her Ex from time to time and he looks exactly the same, he was slim when married and after.

David - I agree there is a double standard, I see way too many men with big 'ol beer bellies with very attractive wifes and wonder why the dude would do that to his hot wife and why she puts up with it.

I've found down here in the south, I see a lot of skinny guys with huge women. I know a few.

Since I got married 7+ years ago I've put on ~75 pounds. Of course I also went from a very physical job to a desk job at about the same time. The wife has put weight on only when pregnant and she drops it all and more after each child is born.

On an off note, I ran into a guy I used to work with back when I was in better shape. He took one look at me and said, "Marc, your looking...prosperous".

I should have smacked him upside his head. ;)

Dating doesn't seem to cause them to let themselves go, but marriage and other semi-permanent relationships sometimes do. So, I do them the favor of not entering into those relationships.

The women thank you for that, Supe.

They also told me they would prefer that you do them the favor of not entering into any relationships...or talk to them...really they'd prefer if you just stayed in your house.

I've also noticed many women after divorce....and "back on the market". All of a sudden they lose the weight, start wearing make-up, nice clothing etc.....

Sounds like Vashs "Happy Fat" woman is DEPRESSED....

One or more parties heading to the gym. Break-up on the horizon...

upside to tubbies , I think >>is fewer people will try to hit on your current stable occupant, went for a Physical yesterday..the Dr.(Male) was so fat he one of those scooters in his office..I did all the moving around, let him tell me about my cholesterol levels.While a few folks have medical issues..most are just fat&lazy..One reason there are so many Mini-vans...it's the only thing they can enter& bloob out of with some ease. just look around, I'm right on this.

Vash - you make "happy fat" sound like a bad thing. Just have to change your perspective. Why in some cultures, a rotund women is considered very sexy.

When I met my wife she was a size 4, 3 years later when we married she was a size 6, now after two kids and a life of leasure, well...lets just say she isn't fat but into the low double digits. The sex is still great and I love her like I always have so unless her health is in question (which it isn't), I could care less.

Remember that old people tend to lose alot of weight cause they can't stomach much more than rice and steamed veggies. Good-by Happy Fat and hello bingo!

mike, i am not actually the shallow one. my girlfriend is very "realistic". it is just that i was blown away to see such a beauty let herself go.
