Final Dates Selected for the "Ultimate Pelecan Meet" - March 24 to 26, Las Vegas NV
 

After much discussion with the "Inner Circle", the dates have been selected for the UPM.

Several things to hammer out:

1) Venue - if Tabs would quit picking fights with MIT grads and choose a hotel venue, this thing would be one inch closer to finalization.

2) 12own911 has done a nice job of getting Pelican to pony up the image, now it is up to the designers to come up with a t-shirt et al for mass purchase. Shaun G9 has secured high quality, low cost T's. 12own911 - you are the official T-shirt chair. Set a final date for design submit.

3) Many have expressed interest in having some vendors have a few displays and provide give-aways. We need a few folks to take a leadership role here.

4) Track Day - who wants to step up to the plate and be a hero on this one? Prehaps that person can make contact with the aera PCA pres and arrange a lil sump'n?

<sigh> those dates straddle my birthday... but no way of convincing my wife that next years holiday should be to Las Vegas.

I get to go to Hawaii for a wedding in April though :D

From my discussion with...the Poker Room Manager at one of the Station Casinos..The Red Rock will be open in March sometime...and that they ought to have a better handle on it in December.

Now how many people do you estimate are coming....I will go to the manager of the Station Casino I frequent to get a better line on the Redrock.

if we get 50 that will be a small but marketable miracle - if you get over 100, Wayne should start a religion!

Tabs - what say you start a thread and have it as a registration / flexible commitment thread and find out just how many folks are serious about attending. I will give it a bump now and then.
