Well, it looks like it's upon us

The Christmas ad season is upon us. I've noticed a few retailers sneaking holiday references and themes subtlely into their ads the last couple of weeks, and now it looks like the gloves are off. Blatant "Xmas" advertising. Oh, what happened to the good old days when T-day kind of signaled the start of the holiday season? Silly me, year-over-year same store sales!

Costco had stuff out 4 weeks ago... Way too early!

Youd be amazed at how many houses have Xmas lights up already.

Winter and Christmas are coming. :)

I stopped by a brook this morning on my little Saturday drive...there were icicles. It was about 25 degrees here last night.

Man.....................................I love the season and all, but most retailers here had their stuff up TWO WEEKS BEFORE HALLOWEEN!!

The single post spammers are at it here, even. You'd think Wayne had a way of keeping that from happening here.

Starbucks already has already changed its cups to red, and you know what that means...

BTW: what's this Thanksgiving holiday I've heard people speak of?

I saw that at Starbuck's yesterday. The goofy girl behind the counter was all excited about it. In 80 degree Dallas, of all places.

Some of the homes near where I live still have them up from last year.

My hillbilly neighbors have their lights up (the icicles stayed up all year long). They must spend $500 per year on crap they inflate or hang from their 600sq ft piece of shi* excuse for a house. I could send my two kids to college on the $ they have spent on this stuff. Unbelievable...

It seems to come about a month before Gift Giving Holiday, my new official name for Christmas.
