'Too many wives' causes French unrest

I thought having multiple wives would keep all the men off the streets, having better things to do than riot. Apparently the French employment minister blames it all on young men with no father figure around......... Makes sense somehow:

London - France's employment minister Gerard Larcher has blamed polygamy as one possible reason for the rioting that affected towns and cities throughout the country, it was reported on Tuesday.

Larcher said multiple marriages among immigrants was one cause of the racial discrimination faced by the country's ethnic minority population in the job market, according to the Financial Times online site.

Large, polygamous families sometimes led to anti-social behaviour by youths who did not have a father figure in the home, which made employers more cautious of hiring staff from ethnic minorities, Larcher reportedly said.

"Since part of society displays this anti-social behaviour, it is not surprising that some of them have difficulties finding work...," the minister was quoted as telling foreign journalists.

"Efforts must be made by both sides. If people are not employable, they will not be employed."

I can tell you first hand that Arab Muslims will employ family first. This means cousins and cousins of cousins get hired long before they will hire any avaliable American.

Seems like a case of the French hiring only the French, I can only see the irony of this, and I'm laughing out loud.

France encouraged the immigration of thousands in the 60s & 70s while their economy was booming. Algerians were considered citizens. There remained, however barriers to 'citizens of color'. The economy stagnated and those at the bottom of the economic ladder were the first to feel the pain. They're mad as heck and aren't going to take it any more.
The posturing of various governmental officials citing every reason except discrimination and oppression as the causes for the mess they have is a sure sign they have not 'owned up to' the problem they have created.
They ain't seen nothin' yet.

The Brit's have the same problem with the "Commonwealth Countries" coming over and tapping into their overloaded social system.

There is no job opportunity for the lower class now or in the future under France's dysfunctional economy. They were also terrible colonialists so even exploitation won't help. The whole population is embedded in a socialist model. Hillary couldn't have done a better job of it if she tried.

If this prob is reflected in the international currency mkt's France is in big trouble.

Should the French do like the USA, call them illegal immigrants (Mexicans) and let them work all the jobs we don't want?;)

No dysfunction there.

stats are that 60% of legal immigrant families here are property owners within 10yrs. France tries to pay them off with welfare but without opportunity. Like it or not the US has the best economic model in the world. Currently France has to worry about becoming over taken by previous USSR countries.
go figure.

Why can't we replicate the Norwegian standard of living for 300 million people? Oh the humanity!
