How does the new search engine work?!?!

I can't seem to figure out the new search engine. I've tried using "and" and "+" between words and that doesn't seem to work. I end up with a bunch of results that don't have both words I'm looking for so I have a bunch of useless posts to sort through.

Seems like it works mediocre to me, just like it always has. I put in "words looking" (without the quotes) and this was the first result. A spot check of other threads returned showed that they also had these common words. Maybe your search terms are just too broad?

I searched for heater and hose. The first finds I got didn't even have both words in it.

I've had issues searching for part numbers also, but after re-searching a couple times it will find the part number.

I was searching the forums for heater and hose. I just tried it again and it searched Pelican Parts instead of the forum.

yeah i found that too. its like a search takes you right to the catalog with out any threads to reference.

Clever marketing ploy....

Works well for me? I'm using the "search" button at the top right of this page...

It seems to be working from the button at the top right AND the search forum box on the bottom right. I still prefer the old style results like you get with the top right button.
