Minor point...the retired Special Forces LtCol that was in charge of hunting for OBL in Afghanistan was on one of the news shows about a month ago and said that OBL is NOT on dialysis, that there was a suspicion that he might be based on how he appeared in some of the videotapes but it proved false. Bad intel...imagine that.

I thought it odd when I heard it, he would have had to lug a lot of stuff around with him. Too bad, I wish he was on dialysis, sort of a miserable existence if you ask me, but never have walked in those shoes so who's to say

Since the rank of general is more or less a political appointment...for most armies that would only create a much more effective fighting force.
