Anyone using challenge/response e-mail?
We've been using BePrivate.com for this service but they have now been down for over 36 hours with "catastrophic" hardware failures of their primary and backup servers. (Or they didn't pay their hosting bill...who knows!)
I really like their service but am now pretty concerned about their reliability. This is not the first time they have gone down. Anyone use anything like this? Recommendations? |
I use one called "Active Spam Killer"
http://a-s-k.sourceforge.net/ but I don't think it runs on Windoze. Send an email to thom@vintagebus.com to see how it works. |
Thanks, Thom, but I'm looking for a mail host, not just software.

You can run your own server if you want, have it hosted by linode.com (I'm moving my sites there shortly off my DSL and iMac in the bedroom...). If you have only a few accounts - say under 10, or under 1000 legit messages a day, you can do it on one of the $20/mo hosts.

Jon,
At work, we use Postini. Service works great. They filter according to specifications you define, and send an automated e-mail to your work account to inform you when you have e-mail. Lots of other features available as well. It seems to work well for our system of over 300 employees. Randy |
