Once again, OHIO STATE wins......

In a close one, the Buckeyes once again were victorious against Michigan.

I think it's time for LLoyd Carr to get bagged. Or, just keep him for our sake! Troy Smith for Heisman next year.

Congrats BUCKEYES!!

OSU (Beavers) lost big time today, to the UofO Ducks...56-14. The Ducks finished the season 10-1, their only loss of the season to USC, in a squeaker. Are you sure you'd like to see your Buckeyes play the Ducks from Eugene, Oregon in a BCS bowl game? It might happen, now that USC has forced the national sports press to look at the PAC 10 conference. If it happens? I predict Ducks over Buckeyes...by 13, despite the Ducks losing their starting quarterback 3 games ago. I kind of hate saying this, because I root for the Beavers. I mean, what guy can't root for Beavers? ;)

Teams with two losses in the top ten makes me sick...

didn't go to a div 1A school, so none of this matters to me...

well, except that if USC loses the senior admin get all pissy and that can make things suck at work. Fresno almost ruined next week at work :p

there was a game today?
sorry....not into basketball :D

pwd72s 11-20-2005 05:57 PM

Orygun Ducks talking of playing Notre Dame? Girl's basketball? Bc S, methinks. Probably won't happen. After all, according to the national spurts press, there are no good college football teams west of the Mississippi. USC is a fluke of the nature of things...

Eff those a-holes.

And yet, MSUs humiliating loss takes away a lot of the pain. Ha. Hahah. Bwhaahahaha!!!!

I smell an at-large bid to a BCS Bowl for the Buckeyes. Sniff, Sniff.

kach22i 11-21-2005 07:43 AM

I live about a block from the Big House, people were pissing next door on the garage, and behind my fence from all the beer they were consuming before the game.

I'm kind of glad U of M lost - all the beer drinkers went home ASAP.

I used to like game days, like a block party - it's old now.

Has me thinking about moving, but then I could not walk to work anymore.

Fiesta bowl... west coast... run by people from pac-10 schools... let's hope they do the right thing and select oregon...

it's hard to be catholic and a duck... ***** it... i'm going to hell anyway.... Ducks 35 Irish 31

pwd72s 11-22-2005 08:26 PM

It'll be worse than that...remember what happened to the poor Irish the last time they played a team from Oregon in a Bc S game? The east coast press, pre game, talking about how the OSU Beavers didn't belong on the same field with the Irish? Well, I guess they were right...;)

The Game is on ESPN Classic right now. Michigan is up by 3 with 4 minutes left in the game and the ball on OSU's 40 yard line, 3rd and 11....they run a FREAKING bubble-screen for about 7 yards. Typical gutless conservative Lloyd Carr.

As a son of an alumnus, life long Michigan fan and former season ticket holder before I moved out West...It pains me to see such talented kids get undercoached every year.

Lloyd Carr is a class guy, very nice man and a great representative of the university...But he is very soft as a coach, makes questionable decisions on play calling and personel and is way too loyal to his assistants such as Jim Hermann who as Defensive Coordinator consistantly turns out porous Defenses who can barely stop any team with a QB that can move at all...

Save for that Magic Year of 1997, when M won the National Championship....they have lost 3 and 4 games just about every other year in the Lloyd Carr era (error?).

In addition to this, M has totally collapsed on many occaisions giving up huge amounts of points in embarrassing losses or near losses.

This from a team that every year gets Top 5 HS Recruits....and every year turns out many players to the NFL. Last I check, M had the 4th highest number of NFL players among all colleges, including OSU.

Lloyd even screwed with Tom Brady...who was clearly outplaying Drew Henson at M, but to fulfill a recruitment promise that he made to Drew and Drew's agent father...Lloyd worked him in to the 2nd quarter of every game...and this cost Michigan some ball games that year, particularly against MSU.

This is not the same tough Michigan Teams that Bo turned out year after year.... these kids are soft and play soft. Lloyd is just too nice of a guy and conservative of a coach....to just turn them loose and let them play.

Also...OSU is not that good. Thank God its only football...

Mich may have been up on points for a few minutes, but trust me they were never winning!
The ball was rarely off the ground until the fourth quarter. Gets a bit frustrating for us OSU fans when Tressle soesnt use his talented receivers for most of the game, but it works out in the end.
Mistakes on the part of special teams were the only thing that kept this one close.

Sonic dB 11-24-2005 03:02 PM

Funny how things change for you buckeyes after youve won a few in a row....
dont get too cocky because things will change eventually, just like they did a few years ago when Cooper left. the more talented team lost the game due to coaching and some Oline injurys. your team was fortunate to have caught michigan when they have been down the past couple of years. cheers. :).

Cornpanzer 11-24-2005 06:22 PM

Of course there will always be ups and downs. Last week was a bit of a down week for OSU which is why the game was tight. It wont last forever, but there is a ton of talent on that team this year. There is no way that anyone can compare this years Mich team with OSU. The sheer talent in the OSU ranks is amazing! Consistancy is off a bit, but thats never a suprise with college ball.

Im worried about next season with so many senior defensive players leaving.

tabascobobcat 11-25-2005 03:31 AM

Will LLLLoyd Cooper be back next year ???
