Computer Paste method/utility
 

I am looking for a fast way to fill in online shipping forms from text generated from my invoicing software. The online forms normally need a tab between fields, and the normal copy/paste seems to drop the tabs, dumping it into only 1 field. Is there a utility out there that will do this, or can someone suggest a good method of doing this task.

My invoicing software will spit out the text any way that I want, so ideally, i'd want to highlight the block of text, and drag it to the first field of the shipping form.

I've written lots of integration from accounting packages to facilitate shipping/fulfillment, maybe I can help. I have an online florist/fruit basket company that I developed something that extracts orders and drops them right into UPS online for him, no work necessary except to launch it.

What shipping software and accounting software are you using?

It sounds like you've done something similar with the UPS forms. I'm mostly using DHL and RL Carriers, because what I ship is too long for UPS. I use an older version of Dac accting, that allows me to generate text files I can pull the data from.

Well, freight carriers, like yellow and DHL all have API (all purpose interfaces) that allow communication from you. Another option is a scraper. I've written scrapers that can accept data, parse it out into proper chunks, and submit it to an HTML form.

Sounds like you'll need something custom though, which isn't always cheap, but let me know if I can be of service (business info is in my signature)
