There's a yellow H1 that runs around here with the license plate "HUMM HER." Does that mean what I think it does?

For all the people here who are bashing them as usless, Have you ever been on a 4x4 trail that requires lockers? We were up on Pikes Peak in my friends heavily modified jeep when a group of Hummer came by. I was very impressed with the stock capability of these vehicles. The come stock with Front and Rear lockers. They have on-board air for lower/raising tire pressure without even getting out of the vehicle. They have good transfer case gearing.

The biggest problem is that people buy them and then don't use them (properly).

There is a HUGE difference between the H1 and the H2. the H2 is a toy compared to the original humvee. Its nothing but a Tahoe with a R/C car body on it. As far as 4x4s go, i'll take my old '66 Jeep CJ-5 over anything out there.

I agree that there is a huge difference between the H1 and H2. But OTOH if you have seen an H2 on the trail you would appreciate what they have put into it. Granted, it is nothing you could not do to any old chevy, but to have all these things stock....under factory warranty.....

I personally am with you. I like the old pre-80's vehicle myself.

I personally get a chuckle out of the yellow ones... They remind me of a "chopped" version of the short yellow bus...

From your title, I thought the thread was going to be about this astounding article:

Hummers REALLY Everywhere!

Haha... I saw some choice stickers that some guys posted on another forum...

One on an H1 said "H2s are for pussies"

One on a Toyota truck said "hummers are for dicks"
